Friday night we were sitting on the bed watching tv and KK turns to me and says "mama put your hand like this" (over my heart) so I did and she busts out with the Pledge of Allegiance!   I cried I was so proud!

buttercup

With Laiky moving to a new house there wasn't room to take poor Buttercup.  This was good news for KK since she is the proud new owner!   (the hat and purse were gifts from memaw tootsie)

Wednesday was KayeLeigh's first ballet/tap class

KayeLeigh's friends were there

And of course she made new friends in class...

She learned a little ballet and tap and when the class was over she asked if she had to leave.

dancing is definitely something she enjoys!

DON'T PANIC!!

Aunt Stephie has a messy house right now so there's lots of obstacles to daily living.  One of which is a bathroom with no door.  Yesterday we were all up there helping when Laiky had to go potty.  KayeLeigh comes running into the living room yelling "laiky's in the potty laiky's in the potty don't go to the bathroom" and then she stops in the middle, puts her hands up and says "everybody stay calm!!" as serious as a heart attack.

shot

Well we had to go yesterday to get the Hepatitis A shot...it's required in Oklahoma but not Arkansas so that wasn't one she got in her regular visits.  I left work at 2 and picked her up from school, she was so excited. She knew she was going to the doctor.  She told one of the teacher aides that she was going to the doctor to show him how strong she was (and of course does the muscle pose).  The whole way there she wanted to be there already.

When we got there we waited a few minutes and then went right on back.  I put her in my lap because the shot was going to be given in her thigh.   I held her arms and the nurse wiped her leg with alcohol.  KK is calm.  The nurse fans it to dry it.  KK is calm.  Then she strikes!!  The needles goes in and KK whines an "owwwwwww" but no tears.  The nurse pulls the needle out and puts a bandaid on it.  KK never cried.

However, when the nurse was walking out KK looked at me and said "Mama...why that girl poke me?"

I tried to take a picture of her when we got home but...

she had places to go!!
